i am getting an epiphone black les paul studio and my uncle is giving me this giant base amp i figured out how to hook the guitar to it and turn the eaquilizer down but CAN i hook my pedal to it
Yes you can. It's not going to hurt anything.
There have been a few times in history when a bass amp turns out to be a great guitar amp (the Fender Bassman and Marshall Super Bass), However, on most bass amps the tone controls will not be as effective on guitar and there's usually not enough gain on the front end to give most guitarists the amount of distortion they want (just use a pedal in this case).
