Rutherford is a quartet from Missouri that plays rock music flavored
with funk, folk, blues and jazz. Drawing from such influences as
Led Zeppelin, Radiohead, and Counting Crows, songwriters Ruth Acuff
and Jeff Mueller create sweeping compositions accented with Beatle-esque
harmonies. Pat O'Driscoll adds a third voice as well as excellent
guitar that is sometimes atmospheric and at other times bold. Brian
Kent goes beyond keeping the beat, infusing each song with infectious
energy atop a solid foundation. Rutherford is currently in pre-production
for their second studio album, tentatively entitled "The Portal".
